## Objective

Practise calm communication and shared problem-solving under light pressure.

## Materials

- Open space of about 3 × 3 m per group
- A timer
- Optional: short ropes or scarves to hold instead of hands

## Step by step

1. Split the group into circles of 8–10 people standing shoulder to shoulder.
2. Everyone reaches across and takes the hand of two different people, never their direct neighbours.
3. Explain the goal: untangle into one open circle without letting go of hands.
4. Start the timer and let teams talk it through; step in only if someone is uncomfortable.
5. When a team finishes (or after 10 minutes), ask what worked: who led, how were ideas heard?

## Facilitator tips

- Allow loosening the grip so wrists can turn; nobody should twist a joint.
- If a knot is impossible, allow one "unlock": a single pair may let go and re-join.
