Overview

For teams that work hard but pull in slightly different directions. We help you agree what the team is for this year, who owns what, and how you will work together, and we write it down so it lasts beyond the workshop.

The business problem

Misalignment rarely looks dramatic. It shows up as duplicated work, decisions that get reopened, meetings where people defend their own area, and new joiners who cannot tell who decides what. It often follows growth, a reorganisation, a new leader or a strategy that was announced but never translated into team goals.

How we run it

Diagnose. A short anonymous survey and a few conversations show where the team agrees and where it does not, on goals, roles, decision rights and meeting habits. Design. We plan a workshop that spends most of the time on the real gaps rather than on what is already clear. Run. The facilitator guides the team through goal-setting (a small number of objectives with measurable results), a roles and responsibilities map, and a team charter on how you meet, decide and handle disagreement. Debrief. We close each block by checking that everyone can explain the outcome in their own words. Follow-up. You receive the written goals, role map and charter, and we run a short review after 60 days.

Formats

  • Half day: roles and responsibilities speed-mapping, or a team charter, for an established team.
  • Full day: goals, roles and ways of working in one day, with a short team activity to keep energy up.
  • 2–3 day offsite: for new or merged teams, with time for relationships, a coordination challenge and a full alignment programme.

How we measure impact, honestly

We repeat the same short survey before the workshop and around 60 days later, so you can see whether clarity on goals and roles improved in the team's own view. We also look at the agreed decision rights in practice: which decisions were taken where they should be, and which still escalate. You get the results as they are.

Didn't find your answer?

  • Event designers reply within one business day. Onsite teams are reachable 24/7 during events.
We already have company OKRs. Is this still useful?
Often more so. Company goals exist, but teams struggle to translate them into their own priorities and roles. The workshop connects the two and clarifies who owns which result.
What if there is conflict in the team?
Some tension is normal and useful to surface. Our facilitators are experienced with difficult conversations; if the pre-work shows a deeper conflict, we will discuss with the sponsor whether a different format is needed first.
Can remote team members join?
Yes, but the experience is better when everyone is in the same mode. For mixed teams we usually suggest a fully online half day, or bringing everyone together for a full day.
Who receives the outputs?
The whole team receives the goals, roles map and charter. The survey results are shared at team level only, never by individual.
