The coast road from Muscat towards Sur runs between the Hajar Mountains and the sea, with fishing villages and white beaches along the way. About 90 minutes from the city, inside a small public park, lies the Bimmah Sinkhole: a limestone hollow filled with clear blue-green water.

Steps lead down to the water, where guests can swim or simply sit by the edge while small fish nibble at their feet. The guide explains how the sinkhole formed and the local stories attached to it.

On the return drive the group stops at a quiet beach for a picnic lunch and a swim in the sea, then returns to Muscat in the afternoon.
