The old centre of Urla, around the street known locally as Art Street (Sanat Sokağı), has filled with galleries, workshops, design shops and cafés in restored stone houses. It has become a weekend favourite for İzmir residents.

A local guide leads the group through the old town, explaining its history as a Greek and Turkish market town and pointing out the architecture of the stone houses. Along the way, the group drops into two or three studios, where artists talk about their work, and finishes with coffee or a glass of local wine in a courtyard café.

For teams, we can add a short photo challenge or a sketching session along the route. The walk works well before dinner in one of Urla's restaurants.
